Like the Western world, the UK has a selection of theme parks, healthy, here are some of the biggest and best parks that offer.
Drayton Manor proudly boasts to be the largest theme park owned by the family in the UK offers walks and well known as Shockwave – Stand alone in Europe up roller coaster; Stormforce 10, first failure in the UK-Chute water ride, the Apocalypse, the first settlement of the planet-up drop tower, and the Pandemonium, a double inverted air park area. Drayton Manor have also recently received permission to build a hotel of 72 rooms which will open its doors to the spring of 2010, allowing visitors the opportunity to stay close to places of interest.
Legoland Windsor is perhaps the UK, more singular Theme Park. Divided into nine different subject areas and spread over 150 acres of parkland, Legoland is best suited for children and families. There are more than 50 trips around the park, including: the Dragon roller coaster that moves the turrets in the dungeons of a Lego Castle Dream, Pirate Falls Flume Ride an exciting and Driving School, where children can trust to carry out a realistic way with traffic lights, roundabouts and intersections.
Chessington World of Adventures is a very family oriented park with a 90% travel for children under 12 years; Blaster tomb is a walk through a tomb Spooky Haunted armed with a pistol laser, brokers must have on the ghostly inhabitants and earn points for that. The Run Away Mine Train roller coaster is a classic that weaves through a landscape rock in tunnels, or if you have no fear of heights, try Peeking Heights, a 92ft Observation Wheel, where you can get an excellent view over the park.
Alton Towers is the UK's most popular theme park and offers some attractions in the biggest and best ever made on British soil, as Nemesis, Oblivion and Air, but like many other parks in the UK, Alton Towers closes during the winter, reopening in the spring. This year, Alton Towers has seen a series of new attractions like the Haunted Hollow, the pile of manure, and Extraordinary Golf – two golf 9 holes of fantastic adventure golf trips around the park iconic attractions and sights. New for 2008 will be an area called "Bay Mutiny," which will have a "Splash Battle" boat attraction interactive, also called Battle Galleons. For those who want to maximize their time or be among the first to test the new attractions, there are a range of Hotels at Alton Towers in and around the park itself and also very close, so visitors should not be away from the fun!
Also There are dozens of other smaller rooms in the UK, as the West Midlands Safari Park, Gulliver's World, Camelot Theme Park and Lands, Flamingo, offering rides, animal attractions and other entertainment, why not all?
