I have to say that one of my favourite places to travel to for a weekend break is London. The capital of England is steeped in history and there are many places to visit. There are attractions for everyone, young and old and in this article I will be writing about some of the one’s that I would recommend people to visit.

Here are my top favourite tourist attractions in London:

1. The London Eye

6. Kew Gardens

I would also recommend people to take a boat trip along the Thames; this gives you a good view of part of the city and is a break from all of the walking.

For children, Legoland is only a short distance away in the famous district of Windsor. My children love Legoland and insist on going back each and every year. Windsor Castle is worth a visit while you are in this area.

London offers ample shopping opportunities with some very famous stores, for example Harrods.

My wife also likes to go to a show in London. They have some of the best shows at different times of the year including; Grease, Cats and Annie. You can not beat a meal at a top restuarant followed by going to a top show.

Changing of the Guard at Windsor Castle

The majestic stag monitors his harem of females who establish their safety. The silence is interrupted by the sound of hooves crashing in the trees. The deer are frightened and run. Queen Mary's Dolls House
This remarkable love was made for Queen Mary in 1924. Everything in the house works – even the pipes. Many famous people have contributed to the design and articles inside. The library contains original leather bound books. The cars in the garage can operate at 20,000 miles per gallon. You are asked if a child has already played this masterpiece!

Eton College
About a mile north of Windsor Castle is the famous Eton College founded by HenryV1 in1440. Originally built to educate poor students, is one of the world's most exclusive schools. Lists of current and former students read like a who's who of people who have shaped and continue to shape the world we live in

Guildhall
Sir Thomas Fitz originally designed the building, but died before its completion. The famous architect Sir Christopher Wren has continued his work and completed in 1689. From here you can watch the changing of the guard completely in red tunics and skin rugs bear. Inside you can admire a collection of royal portraits dating back to Elizabeth 1. and a series of dioramas representing historical events and places.
Interestingly, columns, which appear to support the roof of this building, in fact, have no weight at all. More recently, photos of the Hotel de Ville is widespread in the world, as was the scene of a civil marriage of Prince Charles and Camilla Parker-Bowles.

Cavalry Museum
Anyone interested in all things military will love this collection. Exhibition date of the seventeenth century to today, including weapons and models of combat armor.

Great Park Windsor
"The Long Walk ',' Savill Gardens and Virginia Water" are highlights of this park covers 4,800 hectares. The Long Walk covers a distance of 3 miles from the castle to the statue of George 111 a horse. Savill Gardens offers a spectacular array of plants and flowers all year. You can stop and buy your favorite plant or something to eat in the restaurant. To the south is Virginia Water – a large lake surrounded by beautiful gardens and lawns growing. Beware of some curiosities, whose 100-totem foot.

A visit to Royal Windsor will take you on a journey through a thousand years of English history and tradition. It is a place that continues to inspire and excite imagination. If you visit the Royal Windsor left with a thirst to know more after a six-mile journey will take Runnymede where the Magna Carta was signed, laying the foundations of our democracies today.

Windsor is the town famous in England. When the word comes from Windsor, in most people remember from Windsor Castle, the castle has captured iconic the imagination of many people. Windsor is located south east of England. Windsor Castle is over a thousand years and is still bureaucratic Queen of England, Queen Elizabeth II. Windsor Castle has seen much of the history of Windsor, England. Bloody battles, riots and peace and harmony, Windsor Castle has seen it all. Ten of the British royal family are buried
in the chapel at Windsor Castle. Some of the most famous of those killed were King Henry VIII, George VI and Charles I. Windsor Castle has also been incorporated in the literature, when he caught the imagination of William Shakespeare, the rite of his plays humor. The Castle Windsor is home to the works of Lawrence, Van Dyck, Rubens and Huben.

Other attractions include Legoland Windsor Windsor Park, which is in Winkifield way. Legoland Windsor has more than fifty attractions and driving lessons, creative workshops and live entertainment are also available for children in the park.

Then there is the Ascot racecourse. Ascot Racecourse is situated among some of the fields of the most prestigious races in the UK. The racecourse has many riders that are carried out, and Ascot Racecourse also has some special events lined up during the season. There is also the Windsor Triathlon, another attraction that takes place in City of Windsor.
