A brief history on Stonehenge

Stonehenge is located in Wiltshire, about 2 miles west of Amesbury and 8 miles north of Salisbury. It is one of the most famous prehistoric sites in the world. Archaeologists actually believe that the standing stones were erected around 2200 BC and the surrounding circular earth bank and ditch, which constitute the earliest phase of the monument, have been dated to about 3100 BC. Currently Stonehenge is owned by the Crown and managed by English Heritage

Visitors to Stonehenge

Stonehenge is probably the most important prehistoric monument in the whole of Britain and has attracted visitors from earliest times. It stands as a timeless monument to the people who built it. There are many Stonehenge Tours and these are run by various companies including Evan Evans. Tours to Stonehenge originate out of London and the tour can incorporate other elements of London Sightseeing Tours. Currently, more than 800,000 people a year go through the turnstiles to see it, while at least another 200,000 stand at the roadside and peer through the fence. Millions glimpse the stones as they drive past on the A303 and A344 on their way to or from London or the South West.

How long does it take to Tour Stonehenge?

A tour of Stonehenge is relatively short, it is the travel between that can take time which is why Stonehenge Tours tend to incorporate tours to Bath or/and Windsor as all three can be seen in a day with a good guide and transport. Even today, when the opportunity has no legal status, most people want to make a big deal of his 21st birthday. For that fame and fortune, seems a ceremonial "key to the door" and a bottle of champagne are not enough in the way of the 21st birthday gifts: they want wild parties with glitz and glamor.

No more than the Pirates of the Caribbean star Keira Knightley – was held a 1920 theme party where 150 people each received a bottle of Dom Perignon champagne and a selection of caviar – they hope not to skimp on their 21st birthday gifts! The bubble was not all it offers: It has been reported tequila flowed freely, which explains why Keira May left the next morning with a mask pig.

LeBron James basketball beat bash Keira actually arrived in a black Rolls Royce to a private dinner for 65 close friends. Then organized a party for a thousand guests who each paid up to € 150 to attend, the proceeds going to charity. And you can not blame Lebron be a soft touch: be December 30, warned guests not to go for Christmas gifts to his 21 birthday gifts.

Vegas seems to be the home of many celebrities, 21st, although singer Ashlee Simpson went further by performing two songs from her new album, in his own party. Once again, 21st birthday gifts are not the only thing in mind: she was preparing for an MTV special dedicated to her birthday.

Not all parts are good, but Vegas. Kelly Osbourne does not expect his gifts age 21 included a $ 102,000 in damages in a hotel suite. But that's what he has accomplished after Paris Hilton and her then-boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos allegedly went on the rampage and smashed furniture value. The two singers have exchanged barbed words in the press for weeks.

Lindsay Lohan avoided this kind of chaos Avoidance two-day celebration at a nightclub in Las Vegas at some point, would be sponsored by the manufacturer Svedka vodka. Who is out the window when she Lindsay in rehab. Instead, he held a barbecue on the quiet beach serving refreshments and bottled water.

Our own British stars are also used for high-profile parties, but none more than Amir Khan. The Olympic silver medalist has just opened their gifts birthday number 21 going to a packed Bolton Arena where local audiences looked to defend his lightweight title in the Commonwealth. Fortunately, the party boy birthday is too late rival knocked out Graham Earl in 72 seconds!

Prince Harry kept a lower profile with a quiet celebration at the castle of Windsor. It is likely that it was not in a festive atmosphere that has recently caused controversy by dressing in a Nazi uniform to a costume make. I hope none of his family bought their 21st birthday gifts to provide liquidity, as it could have been a strange experience: the Mint marked the occasion with the publication of a piece of € 5 which was the first feature Harry.

Big Brother star Luke Marsden has also had a quiet 21st. He celebrated his birthday at the famous house with a party for him and three fellow housemates. He has received grants from age 21 – in fact, although he knew little about the girlfriend marked the occasion by dumping in public after participating colleagues hugged Rebecca Shiner!

Sometimes feels like celebrities lead lives so rare I could not write better stories. But we must remember that some fictional characters have also received a birthday present 21st desired.

Frederick, the star opera comic Gilbert and Sullivan Pirates of Penzance, thought he had celebrated his 21st birthday to be free band of pirates who had spent all his life (his mother had misunderstood the offer and thought he was apprenticed to a pilot.) Unfortunately for Frederick, born February 29, and Hackers, uncompromising on the accuracy, said he would not gain their freedom, for 63 years!

In the eccentric hit drama Reaper, turns 21 Sat protagonist Oliver has included some bad news to his parents. Turns out they made a pact with the devil that was cured of the disease, in exchange for the promise of his first child – and now is the time Collection!

Both the graphic novel series The Darkness, and the game of the same name with the character Jackie Estacado. Your Birthday 21st Donations are somewhat overshadowed by the discovery that the mafia in New York is trying to blow. However, he manages to avoid the killing due to the fact that activation 21 also unleashes supernatural powers past of their ancestors.

So many travelers to England to London as the center of the country. While the capital certainly has much to offer visitors a shame to miss other pleasures of England.

As you may have gathered from reading the first paragraph of this section, the following can be seen by some as a plea for tourists to visit several countries. In fact, it is certainly the suggestion proposed.

The reason to encourage further exploration is not only for the benefit of local tourism boards – Due to miss the rest of the country, is to miss so many great experiences.

Start with a few simple facts which may be a surprise. At the time of writing, the United Kingdom as a whole has 27 World Heritage sites of UNESCO – the only 4 of them are located in London. If you limit your visit to the capital, then you are losing so much history and cultural diversity.

From Hadrian's Wall (named after the Roman emperor) north of the Jurassic Coast in the south, there is much to see in this diverse country.

A trip to the sun may include a visit to the Roman spa town of Bath, where you can swim in local waters, while as the Romans would have done nearly 2000 years ago. England is a country that gives life to history to life.

Stonehenge is less than two hours from London and is still missed by many visitors in the UK. Staying in the capital, was lost.

Even more still near Windsor, with its royal castle and parks. One of the most beautiful castles in the country and one of the most famous in the world has hosted some events through beautiful ages, including the royal wedding.

For those with an interest in food and drink, no visit to England would be complete without a country famous country pubs. At a distance, you may find yourself in a nice bar that can be several centuries old.

While London is undoubtedly the most beautiful place in the country for shopping, a number of places that offer other experiences of "shopping" from Southampton in the south of Newcastle in the north.

The Next time you plan a trip to England, by all means spend much time in the capital. London has to offer, from galleries to theater, history, some of the modern architectural wonders. No, however, limited to the charms of this city.

Be sure to spend some time looking at what is available in the rest of the country – you will be pleasantly surprised.
